Year 11 boys have created their own Spanish Society in Facebook in a rebel act of defiance. Apparently the other one is too 6th Form dominated… feeble excuses, if you ask me.
Have a look at La Sociedad Española de Y11.
Muy bien hecho chicos por tener tanta iniciativa.

Given our boys spend soooo much time on Facebook, I decided to create La Sociedad Española de Nottingham High School. If you can’t beat them, join them!
The rules are simple:
- Write, say, post, share anything Spanish… in Spanish!
- Be sensible and don’t be rude about anybody
I thought if they are going to read Facebook, they might as well do it in Spanish!
Bueno chicos, ¡a escribir en español!

With
Lingro, you can view any web page or document you want through Lingro’s website and then you just point your mouse at the words, click and the meaning appears in a little blue bubble. The concept is simple: imagine you are reading a online newspaper in a foreign language and you come across a word you don’t know, normally you would then open up another window or tab, go to your favourite online dictionary (
www.wordreference.com in my case) and look up the word there; well, with Lingro it’s all integrated.

Lingro will remember which words you looked up and, after you have finished reading the article, you can play vocabulary games online to help you learn and remember the words.
¡Qué idea tan buena!
